To celebrate the occasion of Women’s Day, we had organized a health talk on menstrual hygiene to increase awareness among adolescent girls.
Activities:
- Our students created posters on menstrual hygiene, especially giving emphasis on the importance of using sanitary pads and frequency of changing menstrual pads.
- Health talk was provided on importance of menstrual hygiene and consequences of not maintain it.
- Information on proper disposal of used pads and hand hygiene before and after handing the pads were also provided.
- Information usage of clean cotton clothes, their cleaning after use and proper storage were also provided to them as many of them cannot afford sanitary pads.
- The girls had also been guided and provided with information on the available menstrual hygiene schemes under which they can avail sanitary pads in low price.
