NEET is the unified medical entrance examination for admission to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, and other medical courses across India.
- Exam Pattern: 180 questions (Physics: 45, Chemistry: 45, Biology: 90)
- Marking Scheme: +4 marks for correct answer, -1 mark for incorrect answer
- Duration: 3 hours and 20 minutes
- Medium: Available in 13 languages including English, Hindi, and regional languages
- Syllabus Coverage: Class 11 & 12 NCERT Curriculum (Physics, Chemistry, Biology)
- Question Type: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) only
- Maximum Marks: 720 (180 questions × 4 marks each)
- Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit
- Minimum 17 years old as on December 31, 2025
- Maximum 25 years old for General category
- 5 years relaxation for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwD candidates
Educational Qualification
- Passed Class 12/HSC with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English
- Minimum 50% aggregate in PCB for General category (40% for SC/ST/OBC-NCL)
- Appearing candidates in Class 12 in 2025 are also eligible to apply
Nationality
- Indian Nationals, NRIs, OCIs, PIOs, and Foreign Nationals are eligible
- State quota seats are only for Indian Nationals with state domicile

- Recent Passport size photograph (Size: 10KB to 200KB)
- 80% face coverage with light background
- Format: JPG/JPEG only
Signature Specifications
- Scanned signature (Size: 4KB to 30KB)
- Black ink on white background
- Format: JPG/JPEG only
Required Documents
- Class 10th Certificate (for Date of Birth proof)
- Class 12th Mark Sheet (if passed) or Hall Ticket (if appearing)
- Category Certificate (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS) if applicable
- PwD Certificate if applicable (40% or more disability)
- Scanned copy of Left Hand Thumb Impression
