The Basic Course in Medical Education (BCME) 2025, held from 5th to 7th May at JMN Medical College, Chakdaha, culminated in a warm and memorable certificate distribution ceremony on the final day. This prestigious event was graced by Prof. (Dr.) Manoj B. Patki, who presented the Certificates of Participation to all the enthusiastic faculty members who completed the intensive three-day program.
More than 30 faculty members from diverse departments participated in the workshop, which was organized under the aegis of NMC Regional Centre – MET, NEIGRIHMS, Shillong. The program was designed to provide hands-on training, theoretical insight, and practical skills aligned with Competency-Based Medical Education (CBME).
Prof. (Dr.) Patki, in his inspiring address, praised the dedication of the participants and the organizing team. He emphasized that the successful organization of such a significant academic event, within just two years of the college’s establishment, was “commendable and noteworthy.” He also remarked, “Organizing the BCME program itself is a blessing. It reflects vision, effort, and a deep sense of purpose.”
Receiving the certificate from Prof. (Dr.) Patki was a moment of pride for each participant, symbolizing not just the completion of the training but a renewed commitment to reflective, student-centered teaching.
The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks and collective applause, marking the end of a transformative journey for the participants of BCME 2025.
